In the Gospel of Luke, we saw the Lord Jesus launching the Kingdom of God into the world whereby the works of darkness were dismantled by the power of God. The culmination of this was the Cross & the Resurrection.

 

In the Book of Acts, we see the blood-bought Church carrying on that same mission to set at liberty those captive. Some have called this book of the Bible the Acts of the Holy Spirit, and we can see why.

The Book of Acts wasn't meant to be just a history lesson. It's a blueprint for all of us who follow Christ about how we should respond to this world. Like Jesus & like the early followers of Christ, we must be full of the Holy Spirit and advance the Great Commission.
