SHOULD THE OAKS FALL is a compilation of eleven stories which will enliven the heart—especially to the one who's missed feeling something good on the inside of late.


In EDGAR'S BIRTHDAY, you'll meet Edgar running from his family on his birthday; but, has he really outsmarted his family like he thinks? 

In MAD MORNING RUSH, you'll delve into the home of two parents and their two young children who awaken late for a very important occasion. 


You'll meet Reuben, blinded in a freak accident, trying to find his way and identity in a big city and a new school.

This is REUBEN'S ASCENT. 

You'll enter into the world of young Frank, A GOOD BOY, struggling within a broken home to find the respite of refuge and a kind word—and going to the least likely place to find it. 

In MR KETTLEWELL, you'll meet a seemingly frail, older-than-the-hills man who lives in the same town as Frank in the above story, A GOOD BOY. Mr. Kettlewell speaks few words but has much to say. 

In THE STAR, you'll meet Alex and his lifelong journey to escape tragedy—all under the shadow of the Roanoke, Virginia, monument known as the Star. 

In WINTER FRIENDSHIP, a heavy snow coats Jerusalem causing children to act the same as usual toward each other—ethnically charged and angry—until something out of the ordinary happens causing a change in the children.

SHOULD THE OAKS FALL is the story of a lost in life city teen who finds his world turned upside down when he’s forced to stay the summer in the countryside with his elderly grandfather, Thomas Bailey. While there, the boy uncovers a past he'd no idea his grandfather had lived--and discover a future he never believed could be possible for himself.
